Our Strategy:

When Hurricane Helene hit Georgia, Richmond County found itself battling not only flood damage but also a mosquito surge that put entire neighborhoods at risk. Floodwaters triggered a mass hatching of aggressive, day-biting mosquitoes as well as container-breeding species known to spread disease. The trap count skyrocketed from its usual 40 to 60 range to more than 6,000 in just a few weeks. Local mosquito teams had to move fast, scaling up from targeted site treatments to full neighborhood spraying with truck-mounted foggers running daily to protect families and first responders on the ground.

Getting supplies in was not a simple mission. Debris, washed-out roads, and downed power lines shut down key routes when communities needed help most. Major Clean stepped up and delivered two 53-foot semi-truck loads of critical insect repellent products straight into Richmond County under emergency conditions. According to Thomas R. Moore, Deputy Director of Emergency Management at GEMA, Major Clean was “the most responsive vendor we dealt with,” playing a key role in keeping mosquito control efforts on track.

Our quick action gave local teams the time they needed to hit mosquito numbers hard while our repellents kept mosquitoes off the public, protecting thousands from bites and vector-borne threats. When speed matters, Major Clean delivers.
